Happy Birthday America!

In honor of our nation's birth, I embarked on a 4 day marathon of drinking, eating, cooking, cherry pitting, and more drinking. In our family, we call this a "reunion."  Here are some highlights; apart from a certain grease fire incident, I think I did some damn fine cooking this weekend.
Sour Cherry, Blueberry, and Strawberry Rhubarb: The American Triumvirate

 Veggies! Note the grilled radishes...fantastic.

At this stage, I thought the grease fire was still amusing. Moments later, though, I ran for cover as these poor fennel and potatoes burned a fiery death.

 Bawk!

Pork Skewers with peanut-basil dipping sauce. Thanks, Bittman.

Flank Steak with grilled lemons. I think this is the first time I have grilled steak at the perfect temperature in my life.

No 4th of July would be complete without a red hot!

I can vouch for the tastiness factor. De-lish!
