Mr. Kow, this is for you.

At long last, le duck. It's not as fancy as I originally pictured, but it hit the spot after a long Thursday. In fact, I think I prefer this to the mindblowing 3 course dinner I would have made had I not made an ass of myself last weekend, instead.
Duck confit with farro, mint, pea shoot, and fava bean (cooked in duck fat) salad.

Hopefully this will fuel me for the crazy relay I am doing tomorrow. Yes, your favorite food blogger is doing an ill-advised, completely ludicrous, chafe-inducing 178 mile relay tomorrow.  Keep in mind that it is a relay-- I will only be doing about 18 out of the 178 miles over 24 hours.

But that also means I will be sitting in a van with 12 sweaty runners. For 24 hours.  Which means I will be hungry and irritable. Would it be uncouth to bring leftover duck for one?

I think part of the deal was a bit of a play-by-play of the cooking of the requested dish, was it not?
