What a lovely, sophisticated little soiree this was, tombs and all.
I thought I was getting french fries from this chef. Imagine my surprise when they turned out to be fried sardines. The good kind of surprise, that is.
Mother In Law Kimchee was there making kimchee and cheese curd panini. It sounds gross, but whoaaa was it tasty!
Im not sure what the amish were all about, but they made a delicious fresh mint and chamomile iced tea. They did not look too pleased, however, when I suggested that with a little rum, it would make a fine mojito.
My favorite, a high class napoleon: Rosemary ice cream, strawberry ice cream, and watermelon sorbet from the Bent Spoon.
If I had one million dollars to my name, I would bet on every item in the fundraiser's online auction (and buy myself the ultimate Viking Range that would not set off my schizoid fire alarm every night). Cheesemaking class? Mushroom foraging? Yes, Please! If anyone wants to enter a bid in my name, though, feel free.
