Not-Bruni Wednesday Digest

Ok, this week's Dining Out was better than last week's, but it is fall (think halloween, thanksgiving, new restaurants, and top cheffage), so that is kind of like observing that baseball gets more exciting during the playoffs. In any case, mildly interesting articles and chef drama reportage:

  • In case you've ever claimed that Thomas Keller (or Sir Keller Thomashire, Duke of Kellerdom, as I like to call him) doesn't have a heart, now you officially look like an asshole.
  • Bittman, you're on a roll. Brussel sprouts, bacon, and figs. Why haven't I thought of that before?! Now that brussel sprouts with bacon is the new beet salad, I am happy to have that extra ingredient to prove I'm different. Thanks, Bitt.
  • sometimes the Times is lame and cute at the same time. Kind of like when your mom signs her text messages.

In case you couldn't tell, those are pictures of some high points in Thomas Keller's career.
