Battle: Dessert.

As if I haven't had enough cookoffs lately, my office is having another Iron Chef Throwdown on Monday. We all remember my first, glorious victory in the inaugural throwdown, Battle: Pudding. And, of course, we also remember my less-than-glorious performance in the highly unfair and clearly rigged Battle: Cookie (but we don't need to talk about it, lest I get all worked up about macarons again).

Monday's cookoff is Battle:"Dessert". I know, it is a pretty wide category, but it wasn't my choice--I was advocating Battle: Clafouti, but no one would listen. The only rules are: no pudding, no cookies, and no savory entries (rats! that foils my cheese plate idea).

So with the possibilities completely thrown open, I have to do something a little bit different. I am imagining there will be lots of cake, cupcake, and pie entries, so I was thinking.... ice cream? or... ice cream sandwiches??
